I saw the Spider-Man's movies. When I saw them for the first time, I was really excited. But a hero has own problems although he solve the problems of other people. Minnesota

What I was surprised and enjoyed in America: I will talk about this. I arrived at Minnesota on July 24. My host family welcomed me. My host family prepared for my room. It was very large and cute. There were two beds in my room and is a TV, so I was very surprised. My host family's house was white and brown and have a garden, a garage and some underground rooms. I haven't seen American house, so it was very interesting for me. My host family took me to the science museum. I played Frisbee golfing with my host family and host mother's sister's family. I went to the park with host family to see the movie. My host family and Yuki's host family were very thick as thieves, so we went to the river to see the show of the sking on the water. It was very exciting and wonderful. My host brother's birthday is August 3, so we celebrated his birthday at the pool with his friends and his friends family. I went to the Foshay Tower to see around the city with my host father and brother. I saw host brother playing succer and ice hockey and sister playing softball. They were very active. KGU students rode on the horse back in Wisconsin. It was the first time for me, so I was very excited. We also canoed with host family. We made meals for children who were starving all over the world. I took part in the Bible School as a volunteer. My host family took me to the art park. There were many works of the art in the park. It was very interesting. When I was sick, my host mother took me to the hospital and made me a soup. I was very delighted. I played card games with host family. It was very funny. We went to the COMO zoo. I had not been to the zoo for the long time, so I enjoyed at the zoo. I also went to the Outlet mall. The things were very cheap. I made some Japanese food. My host brother made chocohip cookies with me. I went shopping at the Mall Of America. It was very huge. I was very amazed. I spent much money and time to buy things what I wanted.
There are many good memories at Minnesota. I would like to go to Minnesota and see my host family and teachers. To have been to Minnesota and stayed for a month is my treasure. I think that we should know about all over the world. My world view changed by staying in America, so I am happy. It is very important for us to experience which we can't experience in own country. I learned about many things. I would like to make use of my experience in America. I will never forget. See you soon, Minnesota!!

My Favorite What I do alone

What do you like to do alone? I often go to the cafe and shopping alone. My favorite cafe is the Starbucks Coffee and Ouchi cafe. At the Starbucks Coffee, I can study, talk with my friends, take a break, eat sweets and lunch, write a essay and so on. Before I came to Kumamoto, I couldn't go anywhere alone because what I do alone was very embarrassed. While I began to live in Kumamoto alone, I was able to do anything alone. My favorite the coffee of Starbucks Coffee is the caramel Frappuccino. It is very good and like a sherbet. I order it when it is hot or warm. Next, I often go shopping alone. I have some favorite stores in Kumamoto and Kagoshima. Before I always buy clothes, I try clothes on. The shop assistant gives me some advice; how to coordinate. BEAST

Do you know BEAST? BEAST is my favorite K-POP group. There are six boys in the group. They belong to Cube Entertainment. Their names are Yoon Doo-jung, Jang Hyun-seung, Yong Jun-hyung, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Gi-kwang and Son Dong-woon. When I saw them for the first time, I felt that Doo-jung was the coolest in the member. Now I like everyone and everyone is very cool. I can't choose them who is the coolest. They debut in 2009 in Korea. The group was originally known as B2ST, an acronym for Boys 2 Search for Top. However, their name was changed to BEAST(Boys of East Standing Tall).
Yoon Doo-jung is the leader of the group. He was born in Seoul, South Korea on July 4, 1989. Before his debut with Beast, he was trainne at JYP Entertainment. He was featured in the Mnet documentary Hot Blooded Men with 2AM and 2PM, but was eliminated along the course of the show. He could't debut. After that, he moved to Cube Entertainment.
Jang Hyun-seung was born on September 3, 1989. He is a lead vocalist and the lead dancer. He first received media attention as a trainee under YG Entertainment with the nickname So-1 when he was preparing to debut as a member of Big Bang. But he was not selected as Big Bang. After that, he moved to Cube Entertainment.
Yong Jun-hyung is the main rapper of the group, was originally named as Yong Jae Soon but had changed his name during his 6th grade. He was born in Seoul, South Korea on December 19, 1989. He was a member of the boyband “Xing” along with Kevin from U-KISS and was known as Poppin’ Dragon when he was promoting with them.
Yang Yo-seob was born in Seoul, South Korea on January 5, 1990. He’s the main vocalist of the group and was once a back-up dancer for AJ’s music videos for “Dancing Shoes" and "Wiping the Tears".
Lee Gi-kwang was born on March 30, 1990. He is a lead vocalist and the main dancer. He was known as the solo singer AJ or Ace Junior when he first debuted and released a mini-album "First Episode: A New Hero” on April 4, 2009.
Son Dong-woon was born in was born in Seoul, South Korea on June 6, 1991. He is the group's Maknae (youngest member) and a vocalist of the group. Dong Woon was a trainee from JYP Entertainment for 2 years. He moved to Cube Entertainment.
They made much efforts to debut. Korean singers are very good at singing because they are prepareing. I think that it is very important to make a effort to come true.
When I went to Korea town Shinokubo, Tokyo, I bought many their goods; posters, CDs, calender and so on. I have listened to their live songs in Osaka. I was attracted by them. After that, I became a big fan of them. I am one of the fun club members.
I wnat to go to the concerts of them someday. My happiness is to go to the concert. There are many friends who like K-POP. I would like to talk about K-POP with them.
I haven't been absorbed by singers. I recommend K-POP because they are so cool, very good singers and dancers. You will be fascinated by them, just like me. Please listen to their music!!

Member's names are Yunho, Changmin, Jejung, Yuchun and Junsu. I like Yunho and Jejung especially. They are so a good couple in the group, I think. My room is filled with their goods; posters, calendars, post cards, CDs, DVDs, T shirts, towels, files, magazines, pen light and so on. Their goods are very cool and cute, so I am attracted by them. I spent much money since I became the fun. I have been to the concerts. I went to Osaka three times and Tokyo to see them. Their concert is going to be held next year. I applied for their concerts ten times, but I can go to the concert only once. I paid 20,000 yen as the charge of the concert's ticket. I am working as a part time job to make money to spend to them. To see them at their concert is my happiness, so I am looking forward to going to their concert next year. To listen to their music is my daily work. I listen to their music even though sleeping. When I went to Korea I went to their company. Someday I want to see them as people.  My friends also like them, so to talk about Tohoshinki with them is very exciting. Then what they are gave me many opportunities which I studied Korean and made Korean friends. I am very happy to meet them. Thank you!!

China will soon be the biggest market in the world for luxury goods. Chinese people are becoming richer. They are using their new wealth to buy luxury goods, such as clothes, bags, jewellery and expensive cars.
The World Luxury Association says China will overtake Japan in 2012. Many top brands are opening stores in China's major cities. Chinese people are also spending a lot when they go overseas on holiday and on business.
The French brand Louis Vuitton is focusing on China. It hopes to increase its sales in the country. It now has 36 stores in 29 Chinese cities. Other luxury brands, like Cartier, are moving into smaller towns and cities. They recently opened a store in Yiwu, in Zhejiang province. The jeweller's Tiffany & Co said it would open four more stores in China very soon. Many world cities welcome Chinese tourists. Spending by Chinese in the UK jumped by 82% last year.

Do you know that China is the second country producting things? The world is filled with Chinese things now. My clothes, notebooks, watches, bags, electronic dictionary even though food are made in China. Can you believe that? I am very surprised. Have you been to China? I haven't. Chinese are very smart and hard worker, so they can produce many things. They can speak English fluently. I am so envious because I can't speak English very well. I don't have a time which I can speak and listen to English. I am studying about China and Japan. They are not friendly because they have the big problem of the treaty. China dosen't like Japan, I think. But I want China to become to like Japan. I considered about it. What do you think about it? China and Japan will be a good partner before solving this problem. The small misapprehension becomes the big problem. We must consider what we say and what we do. I hope that the peace come all over the world. There are many opinions in the world because there are many many many people in the world. So we must understand each other. We need to meditate about the peace of the world. To meditate about the peace will make the world good. I hope that the peace comes to everyone.

The things which I want now are clothes and time.
Being winter, people wear a pretty coat and jacket. They are very pretty, so I become to want them. I want a caramel coat now. A caramel coat is very famous among young women. Almost of all women have one, so I want one. Then I want to be a beautiful and shining woman, so skirts and dresses attract me. It is important for women to be careful about their appearance. However, to be careful about own appearance cost much money. Women need much money more than men.
Next, I want much time because there are many things to have to do and want to do. For example, I want to go overseas, travel in Japan, study about airline, go out with my friends and study about Korean and English. I hope that a day have 48 hours!! "Time is money". It is true, I think.
I want to be good at using time and money.
"Time flies", I would use this prase when I stayed in America. The time which you enjoy is very fast, but the boring time is very slow. I would like to spend good time.

What fruit do you like? I like apples, bananas and pineapples. Apples are very sweet and good taste. When I was sick, my mother gave me some apples. My hobby

Do you have a hobby? I have one. My hobby is to play a puzzle because to match pieces is badly exciting and interesting. I have completed many puzzles like Disney characters and Tohoshinki. To play puzzles was attracted to me when I was a five grade. Since that, I bought many puzzles and played them forgetting time. My concentration grew up more than before starting play puzzles, but my concentration only worked while playing puzzles. I also like to watching DVDs especially Korean drama. To watch Korean drama is exciting and interesting for me. My friends and family also like them. Korean drama is very funny and great. I often go to Tsutaya or GEO to borrow DVDs because here are many DVDs. I can kill time there. My friends give me some information about Korean drama, so I feel like to borrow them.

I went back to Kagoshima last Saturday and Sunday to take some pictures of the coming of age celebration. I wore a red kimono. I had not worn a kimono since I was 7 years old so I was looking forward to wearing a kimono. My parent sold the kimono for me. The kimono has some big flowers and butterfly. The kimono was attracted.

Favorite Sports

What sports do you like? Soccer? Baseball? I like volleyball the best. I had played volleyball for seven years. Until I started playing volleyball, I didn't like sports. My physical strength was not good. To have started playing volleyball changed me. Volleyball taught me to do my best, not to give up, the importance of the team work and the feelings. To play sports is not only to give physical strength but also to grow up own spirit. I recommend children to play sports for a long time. As they play sports, they can enjoy playing sports and learn many things. My team mates are trusting each other because we spent good and painful time and the bond was made for 3 years. We are separating now, but we often meet and talk on the phone. I am proud of our bond and love them.

Fatty Food

Denmark has introduced the world's first tax on fatty food. Danish shoppers will now have to pay extra when they buy foods that are high in the cholesterol-packed fat.
The new tax is at a rate of $2.87 per kilo of saturated fat. This means 250 grams of butter will go up in price from $2.78 to $3.25 and the cost of a packet of potato chips will rise by 15cents. Milk, cheese, pizza, meat and oil will also cost more. Many shoppers tried to buy this food before the prices went up.
The new tax will help people eat less fatty food. Around 10 per cent of Danes are overweight but the government wants to reduce this number. Doctors say four per cent of deaths in Denmark are because of saturated fats.
Other European countries are looking at Denmark's fat tax to see if it works. Britain has obesity rates of over 20 per cent, the highest in Europe. British doctors say taxing food that is high in fat will help cut the number of people who die from heart attacks.


What do you think about this tax? I think that the tax on fatty food is the very good idea. People recently get fatty because people eat many fatty foods and lack of the exercise. The government considered how to reduce the rate of the overweight and hit this idea. When I went to America this summer, there were many fat people more than Japan. Every food was too sweet, strong and a large quantity. It is not good for our health to eat these food. The price increase of the fatty food makes people considered own health. The oppotunity to buy the fatty food will decrease because people want to save money.
In Japan, the food style is changing like Western, so people who get fat are increasing. To get fat gives people the risks which people become diseases. We should reflect the life style. I want to think more about my eating habitat. People keep own health by oneselves. Almost all of people want to live a long life, so let's make good your life by considering own health. I will do my best to spend good time.

My Speech in America

I have learned many things from my experience in America.

There is a lot of nature in Minnesota. When I was a little, I used to play in nature, but now I can't be in nature in Japan because of the decreasing nature in the city. Therefore I was glad to experience many things in nature. For example, I canoed, rode horseback, went to some lakes and watched a beautiful sunset while biking. I could experience what I couldn't in Japan. I felt the beauty of nature, so I think we should protect the nature for the future and live in harmony with nature.
Next, I felt a strong connection with people. For instance, the block party is held each August and Americans have dinner with their relatives. There are few opportunities that Japanese can communicate with other people. Japan lacks this communication with other people. I think that people can't live without good communication, so I think communication is very important for living.
Third, I think that Americans want to help other people, so there are many opportunities that people can participate in programs for helping other people in America. I often think that I would like to help people who need help, so I was glad when I took part in the program : making meals for children who are starving around the world. Although the power of one person is very small, the power becomes very big when people cooperate with each other, I think. I learned the importance of helping other people.
To have come here made my world view expanded. I want to make use of my experience in America.
Finally, I want to express to my host family, Rod and Luann and their children my appreciation. This homestay program was the first time for me. I was very nervous, but I spent good times with you because you were very kind and gentle. When I was sick, Luann, my host mother made me soup and took me to the hospitaland checked on me in the middle of the night. Rod, my host father took me to the store to get some Japanese food and medicine and Anya and Joshua, my host sister and brother cared about me. I was so delighted. I'm sorry I troubled you and my English skill was poor. I am glad I could make good memories with you. Thank you very much. I will never forget this! And Celeste, thank you for taking me to school. I enjoyed talking to you in the car. I am very happy that I made a friend, like you!!:) Thank you all very much!!

My Staying in America Part 1

What did you do this summer? Going to some place or shopping or doing homework? Everyone did something this summer.
I went to Minnesota, America this summer and stayed with my host family for four weeks. I participated in a homestay program for the first time. Having been to America was the first time for me, so I was very excited and anxious about homestay.
On July 24th, I left Kumamoto airport for Tokyo, Haneda airport in the morning with my friends.We arrived at Haneda airport and got on the bus. We left Haneda airport for Narita airport. I have not used Narita airport, so I was looking forward to going to Narita airport. I felt that Narita airport was not Japan because there were many people from foreigne countries. I was very excited!!
We got on the airplane of Delta and took off for Minneapolis, Minnesota at 4 p.m.

After about 12 hours, we arrived at Minneapolis airport. When the door was opened, I saw many host families. I felt that my new life started. My heart was beating.

My host family took me to a fast food store of Mexico. I didn't eat American food but the Mexican food soon arriving in America. It was very wonderful for me because I had not eaten Mexican food. Have you eaten Mexican food? If you feel like them, try to eat please. You can learn about the country in your mouth.

My host family prepared the large and cute room for me. My heart was warming. They told me about everything of the house keeping. They have taken in Japanese students three times, so they understood me. The first day of America was the day to meet many people. For example, I met my host family, my teacher at the Bethel University, other host families and my host mother's parents.

My staying in America started like this. I will introduce my story in America next time. Please wait for writing.

7 billion!!!!!!!!!

The United Nation says the world's population is set to reach seven billion on October 31. Analysts are wondering whether it is a coincidence this milestone falls on Halloween. The U.N. Population Fund predicts that some time on Monday, the world will welcome its seven billionth person.
They also forecast that the baby will be born in India. The birth of a newborn baby is usually a source of joy, but this one has got alarm bells ringing with environmentalists. They say the world cannot cope with so many mouths to feed.
The population has exploded in the past two centuries. In the early 1800s, there were just a billion of us; in 1960 that figure had trebled to three billion. Half a century layer, that figure has more than doubled.
Professor Jeffrey Sachs of Columbia University's Earth Institute told CNN that "the consequences for humanity could be grim." Other experts also paint a bleak picture. CNN's Jack Cafferty warned of an "unsustainable" population of 9 billion and stated that "at some point there's not going to be enough stuff for everybody." The New York Times declared that "the Earth is full[and that] we are eating into our future".


I was astonished by this news. When I was a high school student, my social study teacher taught me that the world's population was 6.3 billion. I had believed that the world's population was 6.3 billion before the news was informed. Japan's population is decreasing year by year because the women don't hope to get married, when the women get married is late and there are many women who don't have their children although they get married. On the other hand, the population of the world is growing very quickly. In the developing countries, the rate of the birth is very high. Many young people who live in the developing countries especially lack information about contraception, so I think one of the reason for increasing the population. We will face the problems about living. For example, we need enough clear water, food, oil and so on. When people face the problems, people compete each other. I am very anxious about breaking out a war like "World War III". Everyone is hoping that the world peace continue forever, I think. People who is living now have many problems, so we should solve them for the future. We need to consider the population of the world is 7 billion for creating the great future. What do you think about this problem? Let's try to think.

Do you have a dream? What is your dream? 

I have many dreams. First, I want to be a flight attendant because I like planes and sky. I also like to travel. I think that planes take me to the wondering place, so I am excited. I want many people to feel this emotion. When I rode on the plane for the first time, I was impressed with flying and flight attendants. I am going to school about airline now and studying. Someday I want to meet my friends on the plane.

Second, I want to go to Taiwan, Singapore, America, UK, NZ and so on. I have been to Korea and America. When I went to foreign countries, I was excited and felt that the wondering feelings that I couldn't feel in Japan. To go to foreign is to know about foreign countries. It is a good way to know about countries. I want to know and learn about world, so I want to go to many countries.
Third, I want to see K-POP groups. I like K-POP because they are so cool and good at singing and dancing. When I went to the concert, I was very excited and I had a good time. I will go to the concert next spring. I am looking forward to seeing them.

I like cheese cakes the best in all cakes. I want to make cheese cake, but I don't have utensil which I need to make cheese cake.

What seasons do you like? I like all seasons!! There are many good point in four seasons. In spring, the cherry blossom come out. It is very beautiful and wonderful. When I see the cherrry blossom, I feel an encounter with new people and my new life star. There are many things which I enjoy. My favorite high school memories are going to Kansai on a school trip and to have played volleyball with my team. When I was a second grade, I went to Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara on a school trip for four days. I had been to Osaka and Kyoto before, but I had not been to Nara and Kobe. I was excited before going to a school trip. I went to China town in Kobe with my friends. I ate some food while walking. I made a pilgrimage to some temples with my friends in Kyoto and Nara. I spent good time USJ in Osaka. I want to go there with my friends again. I had played volleyball for about 7 years. I really enjoyed playing volleyball in high school. I want to play volleyball with my friends again.

My favorite place I have been

My favorite places are Starbacks, Tsutaya and Amyu. I often go to these place. First, I go to Starbacks twice or three times in two weeks. I order my favorite drinks always. I study about English, airline, some test, wait for my friend and kill time while listening to music. I am very calm when I am in Starbacks. The shop assistants are very kind. I also go to Tsutaya. There are much information in Tsutaya. I collect some information about fashion, airline and K-POP. I sometimes buy magazines and CDs and borrow some Korean drama's DVDs from Tsutaya. I like to stay there. My hometown has Amyu. Amyu is like a mall. There are many shops, clothes, restaurants, game center, theater and a Ferris wheel. When I go back to Kagoshima, I go there with my friends and family.

Exciting Concert!!

Last Thursday I went to Fukuoka to see Choshinsei's concert with my friend. Choshinsei is one of the K-POP group. We left at 11:46 by bus. It took us about 2 hours to get Tenjin Bus Center. We changed the bus, we went to Zeep Fukuoka. We made line up to buy some concert's goods. I bought a towel, a fan and penlight. I spent 5000yen. The concert started at 7pm. We saw the concert at almost the front line. We were in front of them. I was really excited!!! I was fascinated by their performance. They were very cool and good singers. I like better than before. I want to see them again!! I love K-POP!!

My favorite vacation memory is to go to America. I went to Americe from July 24th to August 22th. I enjoyed staying in America because my host family was very kind for me. They took me to many places. For example, I went to some lakes, some museums, some store and their relatives house with my host family. Something special I did during vacation was to go to America!! I went to America to participate in home stay program. This home stay program was first time for me. How I study during the vacation

I study Englsh by going to America and school about English conversation during summer vacation. First, I went to America from July 24th to August 20th. I stayed with my host family. I met my host mother's relatives. I made conversation with them. I spoke English whole day and month, so my ears were used to hearing English. When I came back to Japan and went to school about English conversation, I could hear English easier before going to America. I need English conversation skill to be a flight attendant, so I want to study English more. I hope to go to America to meet my host family and study English.

Birthday

July 13th was my birthday. I became to be 20 years old. When the date became to be July 13th, bell was rung. I was very surprised that my friends came my apartment. I became to be able to drink alcoholic drinks without worry, so I drank them!!

Presents from my family

My birthday is going to come soon. My birth day is July 13th. I went back Kagoshima. When I went back Kagoshima, I got presents from my family. I was glad . Then I have wanted a bags for a long time, so I was really happy. I got the bag and began to use the bag at once. I want to value these presents for a long time. Do you know about people working at the airport? Do you know what people do at the airport? Do you know how busy and terrible?

Airport authorities in the USA are looking into the way their air traffic controllers work. This comes after they found another controller asleep in the control tower. This is the seventh time this year. The Federal Aviation Administration said there was a problem with fatigue among controllers. There has been a sharp rise in the number of flight, which means more workers have to work night shifts. This situation leads to pilots coming in to land without guidance from a controller.
The Associated Press news agency reported that napping on the midnight shift is an open secret. "It has always been a problem," said Rick Perl, aformer air traffic controller trainer. "There is no way you can get off at 2 pm in the afternoon and be back at 10 pm at night and get decent sleep," he said. An aviation spokesperson said: "We are taking important steps today that will make a real difference in fighting air traffic controller fatigue. But we know we will need to do more. This is just the beginning."

Do you read  newspapers, magazines and comic books? Although I read magazines, I don't read comic books. I want to read newspapers, but I am not buying the newspaper. Since I don't have newspaper, I go to the library to read newspapers. I introduce my friend.
My friend doesn't read newspaper because she live apart from her family and she doesn't take some newspaper. She thinks of newspapers that newspapers are very good item to know what happen, we have to know what happen Kumamoto, Japan and the world. She likes best the front page and a program because the front page is conspicuous. The most important news story in Japan today, she thinks, is Ebizo news!! Ebizo is a kabuki actor. He was implicated in a event. That in the world is North Korea attacked South Korea, because two countries are next to Japan and she likes South Korea and has South Korean friends. She reads magazine which is named "Ray" once a months. It costs her 580 yen. She also reads "Air Stage" on airline because she wants to be a flight attendant and she gets some information about airline. She has read "Air stage" for six months. She doesn't read comic books because she doesn't have any time which she spends. She studies airline to come true her dream.
Reading some books and newspaper is very important to increase knowledge. Students have to read books and newspaper, I think. I want to read books and newspapers every day.

HOT AND COLD DAYS
Most parts of the world are hot for some of the year and cold for some of the year. Some parts of the world are hot allof the year. Libya is hot all of the year. Some parts of the world are cold all of the year. Antarctica is cold all of the year.
On 13 September 1922, a temperature of 57.3℃( 136℉ ) was measured in Libya. This is the hottest temperature measured in a country.
On 21 July 1983, a temperature of -89.2℃ ( -128.6℉ ) was measured in Antarctica. This is the coldest temperature measured on Earth.

Which do you like hot or cold? I like both. Japan has the four seasons and the change of the seasons is quite noticeable in Japan. While being spring, people go to see cherry blossoms in park and river side and enjoy eating foods and drinking under cherry blossoms. While being summer, people go to the sea and pool to swim, people eat water mellons and people travel foreign country. While being fall, people read book, people climb the mountain and people harvest farm products. While being winter, people play with snow, peple eat rice cakes and people decorate people's gate with pine branches. There are various pleasures in various seasons. I think that Japan is good country to enjoy the four seasons.

BR:11 The history of money

A long time ago, before there was money, people bartered with one another. This means they swapped one type of good for another.If one person wanted to buy a goat, they had to have something to swap for it. A person might swap a pig for a goat. This is called bartering.
Bartering worked for thousands of years, but there were times when it did not work. Not everyone wanted to swap their goods for the goods they were offered. So another idea was needed. People needed to find a way to trade goods with something that everyone wanted. So the idea of money came about.

I think that money is important things now. But before there was money, other things were important things. I have heard that my grandmother used to bartered with one another. So people could communicate with neighbors. I think that connection with the person has weakened recent and communications skill have decreased. People are not able to live without communication with people. I think that modern people should value the connection with the people more. Do you think so, don't you?

The Space

America's National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has announced where its fleet of space shuttles will retire. The Endeavour will be going to the California Science Center in Los Angeles after it finishes its final mission in late April. It was built to replace the Challenger shuttle, which blew up in the sky in 1986. Discovery is going to the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum, Atlantis' new home will be the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and Enterprise is off to a museum in New York City.
NASA's Charles Bolden said putting the shuttles in museums would get more young people interested in space travel. "People from across our nation and around the world will continue to learn from these amazing vehicles, and the stories of their crews and their missions," said Bolden. He added: "The shuttles will inspire many people who are now just in school to become the next generation of exploration leaders. Million more... will also now have a chance to see a space shuttle in person."

Have you ever been disappointed for country where you have been? I have been to South Korea only. When I went to South Korea, I was not disappointed. I was more excited than I have expected.

Asmall but growing number of Japanese people are suffering from 'Paris Syndrome'. This is the shock they feel when their experience of Paris is not what they thought it would be. Many Japanese have a romantic image of the French capital. They think they will have the perfect holiday if they visit it. However, things like a language barrier and perhaps a rude taxi driver can turn the fantasy holiday into a disaster. This shock some people and causes them to have a mental breakdown.
Paris Syndrome was first discovered in 1986 by Japanese psychiatrist Professor Hiroaki Ota. He said a number of  negative experiences happening at the same time creates stress in the Japanese tourist. These include language and cultural difficulties, sudden changes in mood in Paris, and jet lag. Many Japanese spend just five days flying to and from Paris and trying to see and do everything in the few days between the long-haul flights. The Japanese embassy in Paris helps around a dozen people a year with Paris Syndrome.

I think that you shouldn't  have Japanese common sense when you go to foreign country. Do you know a proverb? A proverb says that "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." I think that this  proverb is correct. When you go to foreign country and are in foreign country, you should observe  foreign country's custom, I think. What do you think about it? Japanese people are delicate, so it is difficult for Japanese people to used to observing custom. I want to go to Singapore and Taiwan now. Then I am going to go to America, so I want to know about these countries' custom to used to it.

Where are you from? Where do you live? I am from Kagoshima but I live in Kumamoto now. I have lived in Kumamoto for 1 year, so I don't know about Kumamoto so much. Although I don't know so much, I will tell you about Kumamoto.

There is a castle in Kumamoto. A castle's name is Kumamoto castle. Do you know it? Have you ever been to Kumamoto castle? Have you ever seen Kumamoto castle? I went to Kumamoto castle for the first time when I was a elementary student. I thought that Kumamoto castle was very magnificent at that time. Kumamoto castle was built 400 years ago. Kumamoto castle is a symbol of Kumamoto, I think. Kumamoto castle have seen Kumamoto's history for 400 years, I think that Kumamoto castle is filled with the histoies. Kumamoto castle towr commands a view of the whole town. Kumamoto castle is filled with tourists who come from foreign country and other prefecture.

I recommend going to Aso. I have been to Aso many times. Aso is a volcano. There are many natures in Aso. I have experienced strawberry picking in Aso. Aso's strawberries are very fresh and delicious. There are many places where we are able to enjoy in Aso. I like Aso Farm Land. When I was a elementary student, I went to Aso Farm Land with my family. I enjoyed riding a horse, touching animals and eating nice foods. I liked Aso Farm Land's cheese cookies very much, but it is not sold now. I sometimes want to eat it. People are also able to make a music box. Choosing a music which you like, and choosing a design. I have made a music box. There is Aso Cuddly Dominion in Aso. Aso Cuddly Dominion is like a zoo, there are many bears and herbivorous animals. People can give bears feeds and touch herbivorous animals. I think that everyone can have a good time.

  

My father is from Hitoyoshi, so I often go to Hitoyoshi. When I was a high school student, I rafted with my aunt, my sister and her friends. It was very exciting and thrilling. I enjoyed rafting. I think that rafting is a very good play in the summer. After we finished rafting, we did the barbecue. We were able to enjoy rafting and the barbecue. I want to raft again. 

Kumamoto has many good place and history. Please enjoy Kumamoto by all means.  I thinnk that you can make nice mamories.

BR:10 Making a cake

Is making a cake like making a work of art? Or is making a cake science?
Some people think making a cake is art. They say it is all about how good the cake looks and tastes.
But some people think that making a cake is science. They say it is all about the changes that happen when many ingredients are mixed together to make something new.

Have you ever made a cake? I have made cakes many times. I am good at making a cheese cake. My aunt makes various foods and sweets very well. My aunt taught me how to make a cheese, when I was a junior high school student. I would make a cheese cake when I was lived in Kagoshima. I sometimes beccome feeling that I want to make a cheese cake. Although I remember how to make a cheese cake, there is no utensil at my apartment. Since there are utensils which are used for making a cheese cake at my home, I want to make a cheese cake when I go back to Kagoshima.

Last year, I made a cake with my friend because of other my friend's birthday. We bought ingredients, and we made a great cake. I enjoyed making a cake, my friend was very pleased.

I like to go to the cake shop because I am excited to see beautiful and wonderful cakes. I also think that cakes are works of art. Cakes which can amuse me are nice works of art. I like cakes very much.

About my part time job

Do you have a part time job? I have a part time job. I have worked for 10 months. When I read "Town Work", I found Korean restaurant's advertisement for part time job. I called there soon. A few days later, I underwent an interview. I passed it. I started working at Korean restaurant. I like South Korea very much, so I was really happy. There are many Korean foods in the restaurant. Do you like Korean foods? I like Korean foods very much. Korean foods are very hot, but it is very delicious. 
Various people are working at the restaurant, so I am able to talk with them about many things. I think that it is good for me to work at the restaurant. I want to enjoy working and continue to work at the restaurant until graduating from KGU.

Foreign friends

Do you have foreign friends? I have four Korean friends. They are exchange students. Two of them returned to South Korea in February. I was very lonley when they were gone. A few weeks later, I went to South Korea for sightseeing and meeting her. Since I had been to South Korea once, I didn't have any worry. I met her on the second day. I went to the pizzeria which Junsu's father runs with her. ( Junsu is a member of my favorite K-POP group.) We ate a pizza and pasta. It was very delicious. We talked about many things while eating. After eating it, we got on the subway to go to Myongdong. We arrived in Myongdong and went shopping. I bought many cosmetics. We finished going shopping, we ate a dinner. She took me the restaurant. We ate Korean foods. It was very hot, delicious and cheap. I was amazed. I wasable to spend happy time because I was with her. I am getting touch in her now. I am very happy that I met her.
Now, I am working part-time at Korean restaurant. Two Korean exchange students are working at the same place. They speak Japanese very well. I think that they don't have the working obstacle. One of  two is going to returning to South Korea on August 4th, so I want to make many memories with her.
I think that to make foreign friends is great because we are able to touch other countries' culture. I want to make many foreign friends!!

Water is one of the most important resources on Earth. Fresh water is important to all living things. Without water, people, animals and plants could not live.As the number of people in the world grows, so dose the need for water. People must try to protect this important resource.

I also think that water is very important for us. We can live thanks to water. How much water do we use a day? According the Internet, we usually use from 200 to 300 liters a day. I was surprised!! The amount of the water that exists in the earth is limited, so I think that we should reduce amount of water used. We have to protect the nature.

An animal hospital is a place for sick or hurt animals. Sick or hurt animals go to intensive care when they first arrive at the animal hospital.
The day nurse check three things:

・breathing

Do you have pets? I have a god and four cats. My dog has a disease, so my family must take our dog to the hospital. I have seen our dog that was examined by a veterinarian. When I saw that scene, I was so pitiful. The pets are my family for us. I know that I can't be together forever, so I want to spend a lot of time together even a little. I want to make good memories.

Dogs don't just make great pets. They help people in many different ways.
Dogs are used to:

・help make stays in hospital more enjoyable for people

Have you ever seen guide dogs? I have seen them. The other day, I got on the bus. When I rode on the bus, I found a guide dog. I sat on the seat which she was sitting back. She was reading braille. The guide dog was very well-behaved and worked seriously. I was impressed. I think that dogs are best friends for people. Dogs help us. We should thank for dogs.

BR:06 Garbage

Many countries are running out of places to build new landfills. However, there are some simple things people can do to reduce the amount of garbage they create. For example, every day, Australians throw out over 500000 plastic shopping bags. If everyone took their own bags to the supermarket, it would save the cost of making all those bags, and it would stop plastic bags going into the garbage.

I think that garbage overflows. What do you think? We should reduce garbage. I think that 3R is very important. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.  Most important is Reduce, I think. To reduce things which you use is to reduce garbage. We must think garbage.

BR:05 Getting the picture

When photography first began, very few people were able to use cameras. They were large  and expensive. Only photographers knew how to use them and how to process the plates or film. Today, cameras are small and quite cheap. They are easy to use and can be connected to a computer program that can make changes to the image and print out the photo. These days, it's easy for anyone to take and to process photos.

Do you have a camera? I have a degital camera. When I became a university student, the degital camera was bought from my parents for me. I often use it. I take pictures to leave memories.
